The Fun Has Begun!

PLANNING YESTERDAY HITS THE STUDIO!

This will become our home beginning June 7, 2008. Of course it will be alot fuller with our equipment. But it's gonna be so great! We are going to try and lay down 5 songs for you guys, with a minimum of 3 songs for sure. It's going to have that "Live" energy you are used to, due to the fact that we are going to be all together in the same room. No separation of The Boys! Exciting things are happening for us. We are about to purchase our First sound system! YEAH! God is faithful! As are we. Without Him we wouldn't even be doing this. So keep us in your prayers/thoughts as we take an amazing "ADVENTURE".

As May arrives we start getting excited about what God has in store for our summer. This will be my second summer to tour with the Boys, and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to travel with, and minister with, for the summer. Things are gonna get crazy in the upcoming weeks and months. but God has control of it all, and we are gonna get to do things we could never imagine. We are staying Humble, and letting God do what only He can do. I will keep you guys posted as best as I can. Life on the road is gonna be fun! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Rollin' With The Punches

A few things have taken place since my last blog. First, God has remained faithful, and is continuing to work through me, and the band. I pray that never ceases.

Second, I have gone through a change in jobs. I had been employed with HealthFirst for almost 3 years. My job is fun. I get to play on the computer all day, and talk to all sorts of different people. I had been working in a family practice, which had many doctors, and between 350-520 patients a day between them. It was stressful, and hectic, but I endured. An opening became available at a pulmonary (Lung Specialist) office closer to home with the same company. My hours would be set, Monday-Friday. No crazy scheduling,10-7, 730-430, 8-5, all on various weeks. Just 745-445 Monday-Thursday, and 8-4 on Fridays. It so totally worked for my schedule outside of work. I work to live, not live to work.(Thanks Uncle Dwayne) It allowed me to do the activities that take place on a nightly basis. Well, a few months ago, it was announced that the doctors were going to break contract with HealthFirst, and create their own company. Alpha Pulmonary Consultants. There hadn't been a time or date set as to when the "Split" would take place. So my mind was in about 500 different places. Where will I work? Will I still have a job? If I don't, will I still be with Healthfirst? And if so, where would they place me? It was insane........ Then word came that it would probably take place near the end of the year, November/December. So I knew that I had time to look at my options. And then on Tuesday I believe(the 6Th) we were informed that the "Split" was going to take place on the 14Th of May. a little more than a week. Ahhhhh. I started to freak out. And on Friday, HealthFirst terminated my contract.

But I knew that God had it all under control. So I placed my trust in Him again, and He came through, like always. The new group offered me a job...... which I gladly accepted. I had applied, and had an interview. And they offered me a position. Not sure what that position will be though. I'm sure not a Dr. LOL! We were supposed to meet this morning, and I didn't receive a call. I was kinda freaking out, and I don't have the number to reach anyone. So, I called the old clinic(Dr.s still saw Pt's.) and asked if they knew. They had one of the ladies call me back, and she said that we would meet tomorrow. Well, later this evening she called, and let me know we are meeting Thursday morning. So I have a mini vacation going on.

An Update!

Well alot has been happening in the past weeks. And I apologize for the hiatus from Blogspot.

It seems that recently the band has started hitting on all cylinders. Our love for one another is greater, and above all our love for Christ has been elevated to it's highest level. We are in a transition period right now. From being an "Indie" band, and being 'Boys", just focusing so much on our music that we loose track of everything else, and beginning to place our focus on God, whom without none of what we are doing would be. Don't get me wrong. Our music is still our top priority. It's what is going to "Pay The Bills" very soon. We are in talks with Crystal Clear Studio's here in Dallas, on setting up time to get in and record our first CD(EP). We won 6 hours at a battle of the bands last month, and we have had alot of things happen since. We have turned from the view of this band just being something fun to do, but being now, a career! And we are all having to sacrifice to make that happen. We cant just sit back, relax, and hope God does something. He doesn't like the Lazy Worshiper. So we are getting off our butt's and making things happen.

As soon as I have more info, that is set in stone, I will inform you of it. Alot of things are up in the air right now, waiting to be lassoed and brought down to us. Keep us in your prayers. And please do as we are. Pray specifically. For specific things. Not just an overall prayer. You make us what we are, and remember, without you, It's just a really long sound check!

Does It Hurt....

.............That I get so excited when I find out, and see and hear just how cool God really is. It's like just recently, I have started seeing the little things He does, that make the big things Happen. Alot of changes are coming for this 'ol drummer and his band, Planning Yesterday.(www.myspace.com/planningyesterdaytheband)

I will keep you posted as much as I can, but I will let you know that a new STUDIO PROJECT is about to be happening. We have alot of things being discussed with ourselves and a Producer/Attorney, and we are excited to see what God has up His sleeves for us. We are remaining Humble, and completely focused on Him.
